Parabolic flight is also used to perform scientific experiments.
Flight consists in this operative mission:
The aircraft (A300 Airbus) reaches an altitude and keeps a horizontal flight, it starts to climb and noses up to 45° in the first part of parabola, then it executes the down side of the parabola to return to its steady horizontal flight; now the manoeuvre is concluded and the aircraft can start another parabola.

|
During the parabolic flight, about 25 seconds, in the aircraft there is a zero-g condition, due to an apparent force that balances gravity. During these 25 seconds it’s possible to make experiments.
Every flight consists in a great number of parabolas with an interval of two minutes between two of them.

Kayser Italia has personnel trained and qualified for this type of mission, and partecipated to parabolic flight campaign in order to calibrate some parameters for GABRIEL experiments and HPA.
